Miles of Freedom 12th Anniversary Celebration

On November 2, 2024, Miles of Freedom will celebrate 12 years of service to individuals and families who have been impacted by incarceration.

This year’s celebration theme is BOLD: Building on Legacy and Dreams. We will also present The Aubrey Lewis Jones Service Award to someone who has dedicated their life to assisting those impacted by incarceration.

It will indeed be an evening to remember, with phenomenal presentations, music and dancing, a delectable meal, and much, much more. The silent auction will afford opportunities to bid on pieces from The Arts of Oppression collection, artwork created by formerly incarcerated individuals. And, this year a winning bid could even secure a travel package to one of several exciting US and global destinations!

We welcome your support, whether as an individual ticket holder or a supporter at any level.

The celebration will take place at the Renaissance Dallas Hotel, located at 2222 N Stemmons Fwy, Dallas, TX 75207.

Keynote speaker is Attorney Cheryl Wattley who played a critical role in Richard Miles’ exoneration and a long-time supporter of Miles of Freedom.
Jazze “Radio Chica” Mazie of Radio One and Steve “Scoop” Jefferson of WFAA will serve as co-emcees.
Special recognitions of a few outstanding members and staff.
Aubrey Lewis Jones Service Awards, presented to an organization and to an individual making a difference in the lives of men and women impacted by incarceration.
Delectable meal, and dancing to the sounds of DJ Luke.
Silent Auction and raffle……featuring hotel stays, artwork, travel to exciting US & global destinations-
….and much, much more!

The Aubrey Lewis Jones Service Award honors the late Mr. Aubrey Jones, Co-Founder of Miles of Freedom, who dedicated his life to improving conditions for individuals, families, and communities impacted by incarceration.
